There has been a rise in the number of book being released that focus around vampires. This is no doubt due to the success of such series like the Twilight Saga. Personally it makes me want to vomit.
The plain and simple truth of the matter is that vampires are DEAD. They can not love, they can not have wonderfully human adventures and problems because they are not longer living. The whole premise of Vampirism is that they survive off the blood or live source of others.

After writing the previous post I started to think about what all these movies based on books would mean for future film making. Fans are torn, but it is safe to say that most filmmakers are not. 2009 was a big year for movies based off of books and it looks like 2010 will continue this trend.

I finally finished reading Jane Austin’s Emma. It took quite a bit longer than I had hoped to get through it but I’m glad I got the chance to read it. There were parts of the book that I loved and didn’t want to put down and then there were parts that made me want to throw the book against the wall.
